PV Sindhu has been a standout player ever since her triumph in Rio Olympics. Whenever she features in any competition, India count on the shuttler to deliver the goods. Now, the Rio silver medalist is set to face Thailand's Pornpawee Chochuwong in the first round of Indonesia Open on Tuesday.

Sindhu, seeded fourth in the competition, will start as favourite in the duo's first head-to-head encounter. However, Sindhu should not take the Thailand player lightly.

Sindhu, as usual, will depend on her aggressive game against Pornpawee. The Indian shuttler is known for her smashes, which has helped her trouble best players in the circuit.

Her game at the net has been constantly improving, which has become a strong ammunition for Sindhu.

Pornpawee, 19-year-old, will try her best to stay alive in the game, playing some rallies to put Sindhu on the backfoot.

Sindhu is India's biggest hope for India in the Indonesia Open, and after Saina Nehwal's victory earlier in the day against Ratchanak Intanon, the world number three is India's best bet in women's singles.

Where to follow

Sindhu vs Pornpawee is tentatively scheduled for 5:05 pm local time (3:35 pm IST).

Unfortunately, there is no Live TV coverage in India.
