Indian shooter Apurvi Chandela has qualified for next year's Olympic Games to be held in Rio di Janeiro. She achieved this feat on Saturday after clinching a bronze for the 10m air rifle in the ISSF World Cup (Rifle/Pistol) in Changwon, Korea reports The Times of India.  

She qualified fifth for the final round and then shot a score of 185.6 to finish third among eight strong contenders. Out of these eight shooters, six made it to the Olympic Games. Chandela is the second Indian after Jitu Rai to have qualified for the Rio de Janiero Olympic Games 2016.

The gold medal in Chandela's event was won by Croatia's Snjezana Pjecic (209.1) and the silver was clinched by Serbia's Ivana Maksimovic (207.7).
