For the 6th consecutive year, The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne that celebrates Indian cinema internationally is all set to start in Melbourne, this August.

Themed around woman empowerment this year, a performance of a curated mini concert featuring renowned Pakistani singer-songwriter Sara Haider, award-winning Indian singer Shalmali Kholgade, the "Slumdog Millionaire" singer Suzanne D'Mello and other notable local performers in an unforgettable night of glamour, song and dance.

The concert will take place on the same night as the awards at the festival where female performers will come together to spread the powerful message of women empowerment and peace between the two nations.

"It is an honour to represent Indian film music in a foreign country. I am truly excited about my performance at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. I will be doing a solo performance of my Bollywood hits followed by a collaboration with the wonderful artist from Pakistan - Sara Haider," Shalmali Kholgade said.

With an aim of acknowledging these talented people and their contribution to the Indian Film Industry, The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne has always been a special stage to display talent overseas.
