Gurdaspur, July 17 (ANI): Families in Gurdaspur district of Punjab are worried as they await the safe return of their children from strife-torn Iraq. About 10,000 Indians work in Iraq, mostly in areas unaffected by the fighting, but scores of them have returned to India since ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) began its offensive. Harjeet Masih, one among the forty abducted workers, had fled to Iraq 11 months back to earn money for his family. Unfortunately, he was abducted by the Iraq militants on June 12. According to his brother, Robin Masih, his brother managed to escape the kidnappers but his whereabouts are not known for the past one month.
