Srinagar, Nov 24 (ANI): Indian army recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday ahead of assembly election. The five-phase polls in Jammu and Kashmir will begin on November 25 and will end on December 20. The results are scheduled to be announced on December 23. General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Kashmir-Based 15 Corps of Indian Army, Lieutenant General Subrata Saha said that linkage between recovery of large consignment of the weapon and the ceasefire violations cannot be ruled out. Saha assured that collectively all the security forces including Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were keeping a tight vigil at the polls related security. Militants have been frequently attacking security bases in Kashmir since the 1990s, when there was a full-blown insurgency against Indian rule in a region over which India and Pakistan fought two of their three wars.
