Host India gets a step closer to the final of the Kabaddi World Cup 2016! Anup Kumar and Co have to put all their best feet forward now as the tournament enters the business end. In the other semifinal of the day, Iran take on South Korea, making the last four affairs an all-Asian semifinal.

When it comes to the raid points, tackle points and overall points, India lead the standings over all the three teams in the knockout stage. Having said that, while India came second from Group A in the tournament, Thailand topped Group B ahead of Iran. 

The trio of Thai captain Khomsan Thongkham, Tin Phonchoo and Khunakon Chanjaroen have remained splendid so far in the tournament. India, too, have put on a strong display with the likes of Ajay Thakur, Pardeep Narwal, Mandeep Chhillar as well as skipper Anup shining brightly.

"Mistakes are not good, because if we make any mistakes in the semi-finals, we will be knocked out of the tournament," said India kabaddi team skipper Anup. "We reflect on the mistakes we made against Korea [in the opening game] and we will make sure we don't repeat them."
