India might have beaten South Africa comprehensively in the just-concluded Test series, but the Proteas got the better of the hosts in the T20 and the ODI series.

The 72-day tour came to an end with smile on the faces of Indian cricket fans. They have been waiting for such a turnaround and were eventually treated to one. India lifted the coveted Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela Trophy on Monday after winning the Test series 3-0 against South Africa at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi.

India could not outclass the Proteas in the limited-overs series. They tried hard but cricket is a team game. India did not perform as a team in the T20 and the ODI series.

However, the hosts did have a chance to lift the ODI series, but one man, who goes by the name of AB de Villiers, spoilt their party. India could not chase down the Proteas' huge total, thereby falling prey to the South African bowling traps.

This entire tour have showcased some incredible performances, but few of them stand out. However, one can surely say the tour has been scintillating. It indeed was a treat for cricket fans across the world.
