Zimbabwe and India played a really good opening match, and hopefully the 2nd ODI will be just as excitingReuters

Update: The BCCI, on Wednesday, confirmed that the India tour of Zimbabwe will go on as scheduled, in June this year. Only a day earlier, Zimbabwe Cricket stated that the two teams will play three ODI and three T20Is in Harare.

While the ODIs will be played on June 11, 13 and15, the T20Is will be played on June 18, 20 and 22.

Original story: Zimbabwe Cricket has confirmed that India will play three ODIs and three T20Is during their tour, scheduled for June this year. The tour will also be the first international one for MS Dhoni's men, post the ICC World T20 2016.

So far in 2016, the Men in Blue have played in two limited-overs series -- in Australia and against Sri Lanka in India -- and two multi-team tournaments -- the Asia Cup in Bangladesh and the World T20 at home. India haven't played any Test match as yet this calendar year.

"After finalising all the formalities with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), we are pleased to announce the incoming tour scheduled for this June," Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa said in a statement, as quoted by Reuters.

While the ODIs are scheduled to be played between June 11-15, the T20Is are scheduled between June 18-22. The matches will be played at the Harare Sports Club.

In July last year, India played three ODIs and two T20Is in Harare. While the ODI series was won 3-0 by the Men in Blue, the T20 series resulted in a 1-1 draw.
