4:55 pm IST: The West Bengal Clinical Establishments (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Bill 2017 passed in the state Assembly. This new bill will ensure transparent functioning of clinical establishments, particularly private hospitals and nursing homes.

3:13 pm IST: 5 people  from Baguiati of West Bengal were arrested with Rs 51 lakh in demonetised notes which they were carrying to exchange from an agent.

11:06 am IST: The Supreme Court will hear  the petition of Gopal Ansal seeking parity for his sentence fro the Uphaar Cinema fire case on Monday. On February 9, 2017,  the Supreme Court sentenced Gopal Ansal, owner of Uphaar Cinema in New Delhi, to one year imprisonment.

10:57 am IST: A Chinese woman student was molested by a man at Kailash Colony of Delhi. The accused has been arrested after an intensive search operation by the Delhi Police.

10:15 am IST : Cracks on the tracks were reported on the down suburban railway route between Goregaon-Malad West line in Mumbai. The restoration work is in full swing. Suburban trains on the down route have been diverted to the down fast line. The situation is likely to return to normal in 30 minutes. The other three lines, including the fast line, are operational.

9:27 am IST: The Jammu & Kashmir Police arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Baramulla district of the state and recovered two pistols.
