Suzuki Motorcycle India is betting big on its newly-launched Gixxer SF fully-faired model to expand its presence in the country's two wheeler market.

It is interesting to learn that the company, which just expanded its Indian portfolio with Gixxer SF, will be bringing two more new models to India this year.

While speaking to Auto Economic Times at the launch of Gixxer SF, Suzuki Motorcycle India Executive Vice President Atul Gupta revealed that the company's two new sportsbikes Suzuki GSX S1000 and GSX S1000F will also be coming to India this year. The Suzuki GSX S1000 and GSX S1000F are scheduled to make their global debut in June 2015 and India launch is also likely to happen in the same month.

Built on twin-spar aluminium frame, Suzuki GSX-S1000 naked and the S1000F are powered by 999cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline-Four engine mill which does duty in GSX R1000. The engine can dish out 44 bhp of power and 105 Nm of torque and the model features KYB inverted front forks and a single and link-type monoshock. Braking of both the models is taken care by radial mounted Brembo monoblock calipers and Bosch ABS system.

In terms of dimensions, both the bikes measure 2,115mm in length, 795mm in width and 1,080mm in height. They come with a ground clearance of 140mm and features LCD instrument cluster with odometer, dual tripmeters, gear position indicator ambient temperatures, fuel consumption, and a clock.

The naked motorcycle GSX S1000 will be competing against the likes of Kawasaki Z1000, BMW S1000R, and Honda CB1000R and the fully-faired GSX S1000F will take on rivals like Kawasaki Ninja 1000.
