Agartala, Jan 06 (ANI): A top police official in Tripura lauded the efforts of Bangladesh security forces in cracking down on militants operating in the country's northeastern region. Most of the rebels battling Indian security forces in the northeast have set up bases in neighbouring Bangladesh. Director General of Police (DGP) of Tripura, K Nagraj, said the state succeeded in neutralising several militant outfits due to cooperation from Bangladesh. Nagraj said Bangladeshi security forces have destroyed several camps of the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition. Nagraj also claimed that the crime rate in the state has come down significantly.
