Dhaka, Dec 26 (ANI): A four-day conference between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and India's paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) began in Dhaka city on Friday. BGB Director General, Major General Aziz Ahmed, led a 23-member delegation and met BSF Director General Devendra Kumar Pathak, who was accompanied by 20-member delegation. Both the countries are expected to discuss issues relating to border security, smuggling, infiltration and curbing trans-border crimes. India, earlier this month, inched closer to settling a long-simmering border dispute with Bangladesh, possibly signaling a softer line from Prime Minister Narendra Modi than when he was in opposition.
