Vijay has wrapped up the dubbing for his portions in upcoming Tamil movie "Theri". The team has been busy with the dubbing for nearly two weeks at AVM Gardens in Chennai.

After Ilayathalapathy, Samantha is likely to join the dubbing works soon, reports Only Kollywood. The film unit has ample time to complete the dubbing as the film will only be released in April. 

Ilayathalapathy plays the role of an IPS officer named Vijaya Kumar in "Theri. According to Atlee Kumar, the actor will be seen playing an emotional cop and not just a man fighting society's evils. Nonetheless, his character will have all the traits the audience love to see in a cop on-screen.

On the other end, the "Theri" unit is getting ready for the teaser release. The works on the video-clip is in progress under the watchful eyes of director Atlee Kumar and editor Anthony L Ruben. GV Prakash Kumar joined them recently to score the background music.

The music director tweeted, "#theri teaser music ... A mix of jithu jilladi and some dubstep on the way baby ! Excited ... #GV50."

The teaser of "Theri" will be out on 5 February. After much delay, the video will hit the internet with a bang on the aforementioned date. Initially, the teaser was planned to be released for Pongal. Later, it was pushed to Republic Day. On both the occasions, the makers failed to release the video as the shooting could not be completed on time, delaying teaser release.

Produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu, "Theri" has Samantha and Amy Jackson as the female leads. Mahendran is the antagonist in the Tamil film. KS Ravikumar, Raadhikaa Sarathkumar, Rajendran, Kaali Venkat, TM Karthik and others are in the cast. It will hit the screens for Tamil New Year in April.
