Vijay is turning 42 on June 22. The fans of the actor from across the world are set to celebrate the special day with a bang. However, Ilayathalapathy has reportedly decided to give a miss to the celebration as he will be busy shooting his upcoming movie.

"While #Vijay fans are already celebrating their star's Bday in advance, the star wud be dutifully shooting on his bday in Hyderabad #Vijay60 [sic]," journalist Kaushik LM tweeted about Vijay's special day plans.

However, Vijay will be celebrating the day by cutting a cake on the sets of his forthcoming movie, which is currently being referred to as "Vijay 60." The event is expected to be simple with no fanfare.

It has been a special year for Vijay as his "Theri" performed well at the box office. The best part of its success story is that the film has done well overseas along with Kerala.

On the other hand, the fans of Vijay are ready to celebrate the day like every year. His fan club will reportedly be organising blood donation camps and distributing freebies for underprivileged class.

Coming to "Vijay 60," the team has completed first schedule in Chennai and busy with the second phase of shooting in Hyderabad. Jagapathi Babu, who plays the role of a baddie, has joined the shooting recently and some important sequences are being filmed.

"Vijay 60" has Keerthy Suresh and Aparna Vinod in the female leads. While the movie is bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, Bharathan has written the story and directed the film, which has Santhosh Narayanan's music, M Sukumar's cinematography and Praveen KL's editing.

The movie is expected to hit the screens next Pongal.
