Television's "Naagin" Mouni Roy has slammed reports of her closeness with co-star Arjun Bijlani. The actress told an entertainment portal that Arjun would be her brother if not for the show.

On Wednesday, leading tabloid Mid-Day reported that all is not well between Mouni and her rumoured boyfriend Mohit Raina. According to the tabloid, Mouni's closeness with her "Naagin" co-star Arjun, who is also the owner of Mumbai Tigers in the "Box Cricket League 2" (BCL 2), is the reason for trouble in her and Mohit's paradise.

"Both Mouni and Mohit are having a lot of arguments over her growing closeness to Arjun Bijlani, her co-star in 'Naagin.' The lady members of Arjun's cricket team are upset with him for giving Mouni unnecessary importance on the field even though she barely plays," a source told Mid-Day.

However, the actress has a different story to say. Mouni told BollywoodLife.com that she is good friends with Arjun and his wife. She further said that these baseless reports are embarrassing for her as well as for her co-stars.

"This is absolute rubbish. If we weren't co-stars, he would be my brother. I am good friends with Arjun's wife, Neha (Neha Swami) as well. In fact, for the most part of the Naagin shoot, we only talk work or discuss scenes. The publication should show a little more responsibility before tarnishing a woman's image. This is a completely made-up story," Mouni told BollywoodLife.com

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mouni and Arjun are busy wrapping up the supernatural series "Naagin." The show, which topped the TRP chart every week, will reportedly go off air by the end of April.
