The South African cricket team are among the stongest contendors for the trophy. Nicknamed the 'Proteas' the South Africans are always known for having a strong squad with almost no kinks in the armour. The team is coached by Russel Domingo and are ranked 3rd in the ODI Format. The Proteas have reached the Semi-Finals on three occassions and are in strong form to win it this time. The team is captained by AB De Villiers, and key players include Hashim Amla, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Jean Paul Duminy.
