Mumbai based technology firm, iBall has launched a mid-range smartphone Andi5T Cobalt2 in India.

The new iBall phone sports a 5.0-inch HD (1280x720) IPS screen boasting OGS (One Glass Solution) technology and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.3GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB memory (expandable up to 32GB) and a 1750 mAh battery.

The mid-range Andi5T Cobalt2 houses a 12.0-megapixel main camera with auto-focus and LED flash on the rear-side, a 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front for video chat and also support 3G network, Bluetooth (A2DP), Wi-Fi, and EDGE/GPRS connectivity features.

Andi5T Cobalt2 has been reportedly priced ₹11,499, but the details regarding the device's availability in the market is yet to be ascertained.

Priced just under ₹12,000, the iBall Andi5T Cobalt2 will compete with the recently released HTC Desire 310, Motorola's 4.5-inch Moto G, and the local rivals such as Micromax Canvas HD A116i, Xolo Q1100, Lava Iris pro among others.

Last week, iBall released an affordable voice-calling tablet - Slide 3G17 for ₹8,199 which boasts 7.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) screen, Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS, 1.3GHz ARM Cortex A7 dual-core processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage.
