Vikram has registered his best performance at Bengaluru box office with his latest movie "I" aka "Ai". His multlingual movie has made stunning business in the Garden City in three days.

The Tamil movie, which grossed over ₹2 crore on the first day, saw a dip in the business and had occupancy of 70% on the second day. On the release day, the average occupancy of "I" had crossed 90% and had ran into packed houses in the majority of screens.

While "I" had about 160 shows on the opening day and it just had above 150 shows on the second day. However, the traders were expecting further dip on the third day following the mixed reviews from the audience and critics. But to everybody's surprise, the movie retained the momentum and got 70% occupancy.

A exhibitor reveals, "After the opening day, we were expecting the response to slow down as people would be leaving to their natives for the Pongal festival. Interestingly, the performance of "I" has remained strong. Even on the third day, on an average, we had 70% occupancy."

On asking whether "I" could survive in theaters in the coming days following mixed reviews, he says,"The movie is not bad as it is projected. There are moments that audience have loved and there are some, which have not impressed them. Overall, people are enjoying it even though the movie lacks Shankar's trademark punch."

From the first two days, "I" has grossed about ₹3.10 crore and the early reports indicate that in three days has earned just about ₹4.20 crore. The Tamil movie is distributed by Gokul Films, which is yet to reveal the official figures.

Meanwhile, "I" has made fantastic business in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and some international circuits. The movie has raked in a little above ₹10 crore in Tamil Nadu, ₹7+ crore in Andhra Pradesh and ₹3+ crore in Kerala on the first day. From international circuits, it has raked in ₹10+ crore to cross the ₹30-crore mark on the released day worldwide.

The second and the third day's total collections are yet to be reported.
