What's holding you back from buying a new sedan? If it's money, then you have reasons to cheer. Hyundai is offering a host of discounts for the new buyer in select cities across the country. The South Korean carmaker is giving huge discounts of up to Rs. 1.11 lakh on the Verna sedan.
Reports suggest Verna, which is expected to get its next generation avatar later this year, is on sale with exciting offers. The offers also include a one-year roadside assistance- albeit only in Bengaluru and Mumbai. While the dealers in Bengaluru are offering discounts of up to Rs. 1.11 lakh, Mumbai dealerships are offering up to Rs. 90,000.
Hyundai has already started testing the new Verna on Indian roads and the spy shots have already surfaced on web. The Verna is sold with a price tag ranging from Rs. 8.05 lakh to Rs. 13.36 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
Currently, Verna comes with 1.4-litre diesel and petrol engines and 1.6-litre diesel and petrol engines. The 1.4-litre petrol engine develops 104bhp while 1.6-litre petrol churns out 121bhp. The 1.4-litre diesel produces 89bhp, while the 1.6-litre diesel will belt out 127bhp of power. The transmission options include six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.
The new version of the Verna is expected to hit the showrooms by August this year. In its new avatar, the Verna is expected to flaunt a new cascading front grille and sweptback headlamps along with new front bumper and fog lamps similar to Elite i20. The interior of the Verna sedan is also likely to be updated with features including new infotainment system, automatic climate control and more.
