If the latest ET Auto report is to be believed, Hyundai could bring forward the launch of Creta aka ix25 compact SUV to 21 July, which would give the company a fairly good chance to cash in on the festive season.

The report further says the model is expected to hit the assembly line by 20 June.

It was only a few days ago Hyundai confirmed its next compact SUV ix25 will be globally called Creta, and the launch of the model in India would take place in the second half of the year.

Creta aka ix25, a hotly anticipated model from the house of Hyundai, is likely to be priced in the range of ₹8 lakh to ₹12 lakh in India and when launched, the model will take on the likes of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Terrano.

Under the hood, the India–specific Hyundai Creta SUV is speculated to get 1.6-litre petrol and diesel mills with 5- and 6-speed manual transmission. In the international market, ix25 is sold with 1.6- and 2.0-litre petrol engines coupled with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, with the choice of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
