After the success of Grand i10 in the country, Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has launched a new LPG variant of Grand i10 with a price tag of ₹4,96,034 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new LPG variant of Grand i10 will be available in the country only in Magna variant, according to CarDekho. Powered by 998cc Kappa petrol engine which can churn out a power of 68 bhp and peak torque of 94 Nm at 3,500 rpm, the new variant of Grand i10 promises a return of 20.3 kmpl. This also flaunts premium features like smart key, push button start/stop, a double DIN audio system with 1GB internal memory, Bluetooth connectivity, Aux-in and USB connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, A/C vent for rear passengers, rear parking sensors, glove box cooling and electric ORVMs.

Launched in September this year, the Grand i10 positioned between i20 and i10 has been a successful venture in the Indian market. It has received an overwhelming response in the country and is still holding a strong market.

To recapitulate, the model Grand i10 was launched originally with petrol and diesel engines in India. The petrol variant packs a 1.2-litre Kappa engine, which can churn out a higher power of 83 PS and 116 Nm torque, while diesel model houses a 1.1-litre three cylinder U2 VGT motor engine that delivers 71 PS power and 163 Nm of torque.

Recently, Hyundai also launched a new model of its entry level small car Eon in India at a price point of ₹3, 83,130 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The new avatar of Eon with 1.0 litre Kappa engine is also available only in Magna+ variant. It is powered by the advanced 1.0 litre three-cylinder engine which can churn out a power of 69PS@6,200 rpm and peak torque at 9.6 kgm at 3,500 rpm. The car promises to deliver a fuel efficiency of 20.3 kmpl (ARAI Certified).

Meanwhile, Hyundai reported a 7.6 percent dip in total sales at 50,518 units in June 2014. The domestic sales of the company is up by 9.5 percent for the month of June, whereas the company's exports declined by 29.3 percent to 17,004 units as against 24,055 units in the same period last year.
