South Korean auto-maker Hyundai has already announced that the company would be celebrating its 20th anniversary in India with the launch of the two anniversary editions — Xcent and Grand i10. While it has already announced the launch of the anniversary edition of its Xcent compact sedan in India at Rs. 6.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), if the emerging reports are to be believed, the company also launched the Grand i10 special edition.

A report by RushLane says that Hyundai has launched the anniversary edition of its popular Grand i10 with a price tag of Rs. 6.05 lakh for the petrol model and at Rs. 7.06 lakh for the diesel variants. To be available only on the mid-level trim — SportZ — the new edition of the Grand i10 mechanically remains the same as the current model and continues to draw power from 1.2-litre Kappa engine that can churns out 82bhp and 116 Nm and a 1.1-litre three cylinder U2 VGT motor engine that delivers 70bhp power and 163 Nm of torque.

Additional features included in the new edition are red side body decals, roof-mounted rear spoiler with integrated brake lights and blacked out B-Pillar. It also gets special edition badge. Coming to the cabin, the Grand i10 special edition gets red and black interiors with .2-litre touchscreen infotainment system. The delivery of the Grand i10 20th anniversary special edition is promised within 10 days of bookings, adds the report.

The Grand i10, the bestselling model of the company, was launched in India in 2013 and is also expected to get a facelift model in 2017. In its facelift avatar, the Grand i10 is also likely to get AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
