World's No.3 smartphone maker Huawei has launched two new low-cost smartphones - Ascend G510 and Y300 - into the lucrative Indian smartphone market which is currently dominated by the domestic smartphone vendors.
Huawei Ascend G510 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA LCD display and it runs on Android v4.1 mobile Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor.
Ascend Y300 features a 4.0-inch WVGA LCD screen with 480x800p display resolution and it runs on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS, also powered by a dual-core processor with 1.2GHz CPU speed.
With a low price tag and pretty descent specs to show off, these two smartphones pose a challenge to Indian made smartphones such as Karbonn Titanium S1, Micromax A91 Ninja and many other low-cost handsets
Online shops had earlier opened pre-orders of these two smartphones a couple of weeks ago. Now, Huawei smartphone Ascend G510 can be purchased for ₹10,990, but the Ascend Y300 which is priced ₹7980 is already sold out on Flipkart.
