Huawei's subsidiary brand Honor has launched two new devices  â€” a phablet named Honor 5X and a smartphone named Holly 2 Plus — in India.

A key aspect of the Honor 5X is its advanced fingerprint sensor on the back (below the camera module). It is powered by second-generation biometric technology and comes with superfast 0.5-second unlocking time. The sensor has self-learning ability to improve scanning accuracy over time.

The new Honor 5X features a premium aluminum alloy-based metal body on the rear. It also sports a 5.5-inch full-HD LCD screen.

Under the hood, it houses a Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP snapper on the front and a 3,000mAh battery.

On the other hand, the new Honor Holly 2 Plus sports a 5.0-inch HD IPS screen and comes with a MediaTek processor backed by 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP snapper on the front and a massive 4,000mAh battery.

The company has confirmed that the new Honor 5X will go sale on both Flipkart and Amazon for Rs 12,999 on 1 February. It can also be pre-ordered at 3 pm onwards on 28 January.

On the other hand, Honor Holly 2 Plus will be made available on Flipkart and Amazon on 15 February in India for Rs 8,499.
