Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC is reportedly working on a new Windows Phone OS powered smartphone with the same design frame seen on the flagship HTC One smartphone.

Technology website, Windows Phone, citing sources in HTC said that the company is developing a 4.7-inch smartphone codenamed 'Harmony'.

The phone reportedly sports a Super LCD 3 screen with full HD (1920x1080p) display resolution and pack 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory as well as 'Beats' audio system. These components are very much similar to the ones seen inside the the top-end HTC One smartphone. Hence, it won't come as a surprise if HTC's new Windows phone flaunts a metal zero-gap unibody shell.

The sources could not confirm what type of processor that HTC Harmony would house. Since the phone is expected to run on the new Windows Phone 8 update GDR (General Distribution Release) 3, one can expect it to pack a powerful quad-core processor, probably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series chipset, which can top a maximum CPU speed close to 2.3GHz.

HTC Windows Phone Harmony is reported to get launched around October or November. The company is also rumoured to launch the much anticipated HTC One Max phablet with finger-print sensor next month. It will feature a 5.9-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor. Other specifications are said to be similar to the original HTC One smartphone.
