HTC's rumoured device One X9 has been spotted at a telecommunication certification agency, revealing features and pictures of the device.
Technology blog Android Police, while surfing through the TENNA -- the Chinese government-owned telecom authority website -- has stumbled on a document containing HTC One X9's images and spec list.
In the image, HTC One X9 is seen flaunting horizontally-placed oval camera module on top featuring the camera sensor with dual-tone LED flash on the rear-side similar to the one we see in the recently-released Huawei Nexus 6P. Key difference between the two is that the former's camera module does not protrude and LED flash and camera sensor places are switched, while the latter features camera with little bump on the top right corner with LED flash to the left.
If the leaked HTC One X9 image is the final product design, the company is likely to invite criticism from media and get itself branded a copycat company. This is second instance, wherein HTC has incorporated rival devices' design language to its smartphones. Last month, HTC launched One A9. It got panned for blatantly using Apple iPhone 6 series' design language for the device.
However, HTC has incorporated different hardware inside One X9. As per the listing, the smartphone will sport 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display and run on the Android Lollipop OS powered by 2.2GHz Octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 1TB). It is also said to house 13MP camera on the rear-side and 5MP snapper on the front.
As of now, there is no word on when HTC One X9 will be released, but considering the fact that the device has passed the Chinese telecommunication agency certificate, the device's launch will not be that far.
