After having missed the 90-day deadline for releasing Android 5.0 Lollipop to HTC One (M8) and One (M7) users, HTC is finally bringing on the fast-track to get the software out as soon as possible. The company's VP of product management, Mo Versi revealed on Twitter that HTC One (M8) T-Mobile owners will start receiving the Lollipop update on Monday.

Versi confirmed the news after having received the Lollipop OS Technical Approval, much needed to push the software forward to users. The company has established an image for dispatching the latest software updates within 90 days to end-users as a part of its HTC Advantage. HTC's deadline for rolling out Lollipop to its users ended on 1 February, but the tech giant was quick enough to acknowledge the delay and promised to make good on its promise as soon as possible.

Staying true to its word, the company dispatched Android 5.0 Lollipop to Sprint HTC One (M7) and One (M8) devices. The Google Play Edition of One (M7) and One (M8) along with the unlocked developer editions were already updated well in advance, the perks of being close to Google. Besides Sprint, T-Mobile is the only carrier in the US to take on Lollipop for HTC flagships.

This does not put the other two national carriers, Verizon and AT&T, far behind. Currently, there isn't a release date for these two carriers.

Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop brings a slew of changes to eligible handsets, like the much-lauded Material Design UI. HTC tweaks the OS to personalise it with its own touch. As a result, HTC One (M8) users will see an overhauled Sense 6.0 UI, which has been appreciated by its users.

How To Install Android 5.0 Lollipop On HTC One (M8)
