Desire V is HTC's response to Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos android-phone. However, HTC has upped the ante in the dual-SIM category and has provided the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out-of-the-box, while Galaxy Ace Duos runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Key specs of HTC Desire V:

HTC Desire V is a dual-SIM phone. However, it restricts 3G service to only one SIM and offers GPRS on the other SIM. It features 4.0 inches capacitive touchscreen, runs on Android 4.0 ICS and has Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon 1 GHz Cortex-A5 processor coupled with 512 MB RAM.

Desire V has 4 GB of in-built storage capacity and supports microSD cards upto 32 GB. It boasts a 5-megapixel camera, 2592х1944 pixels with autofocus, LED flash and geo-tagging. It also comes with a standard battery, Li-Ion 1650 mAh.

While reviewing HTC Desire V, CNET Asia said: "While the Desire V isn't as flashy as the One series handsets, the dual-SIM feature is something that stands out. As far as we know, it's possibly the only up-to-date Android solution in the market. If you want a dual-SIM phone, your previous options were limited to feature phones or Nokia Symbian handsets."
