Hrithik Roshan in PR Handout

Hrithik Roshan's rustic avatar in "Mohenjo Daro" first-look poster and teaser has been received well. Quite naturally, the actor is thrilled about the response and recently compared it to Aamir Khan's "PK."

"A few years ago, the poster of Rajkumar Hirani's 'PK' revealed the potential impact one single image can have. And now to experience that myself for 'Mohenjo Daro' is truly overwhelming," DNA quoted the superstar as saying.

Hrithik believes that posters and such are excellent proofs of the kind of hard work people do on a film, and his next is no different. "Hrithik has not had a release since Bang Bang in October 2014. He is hands-on with this one. He's working very closely with Ashutosh to create a near-perfect atmosphere for the film's release," an insider further revealed.

It is quite okay to get edgy before the film releases (happens to the best), but the makers of this one can heave a sigh of relief as of now. The music and satellite rights have apparently been sold for an impressive Rs. 60 crore, the Asian Age reported.

This Ashutosh Gowariker film is set in the backdrop of the Indus Valley Civilisation and is, from what has been reported so far, a revenge story where a son sets out to hunt for his father's killer. While on the chase, Hrithik will feature in action-rich scenes, in which he will be seen taming wild beasts bare-handed.

Scheduled to release on Aug. 12, the epic-adventure film stars newbie Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. The epic-adventure film is out on the same day as Akshay Kumar's "Rustom."
