Former US National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden is all set to speak to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey tonight. The interview will be interesting, as it will be live streamed and the public will get a chance to ask him questions. People will expect him to respond to their queries with all honesty.

Edward Snowden has been living in Russia ever since he ran into trouble with US authorities in 2013 after leaking secret documents of the US surveillance programs that include seizing vast amounts of telephone and web information of internet users around the world under the NSA programme known as PRISM.

Jack Dorsey will interview the NSA whistleblower via video conference at 12:05 EST (9:05 am PT) on Tuesday. It will be live streamed on Twitter's live-streaming app Periscope and the public can ask him questions on Twitter using hashtag #AskSnowden.

"Tomorrow I'm talking with Twitter CEO @Jack at 12:05 EST. You'll be able to watch live via @PardonSnowden and ask questions via #AskSnowden," tweeted Snowden.

Pardon Snowden, a campaign launched and spearheaded by human rights groups and several intellectuals to pardon him, first announced the interview with Snowden.

The 33-year-old former intelligence contractor has been living in self-imposed exile in Russia for the last three years after he was charged with theft of government property, leaking national defence information without a security clearance and revealing classified information about communications intelligence, each of which carries a maximum of 10 years imprisonment.

He irked US authorities in 2013 by making a shocking revelation that thousands of personal data of internet and phone users were compromised under the NSA's PRISM programme. The list of companies that took part in the programme includes big firms like Google, Yahoo, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, AOL, YouTube, and Skype.
