There is no denying that Anupam Kher is one of the most talented actors in India. Kher has acted in several Bollywood films and stage plays.
Currently, the actor is touring the US with the cast and crew of popular play "Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha" (MWMNT). Directed and written by Rakesh Bedi, "Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha" stars Neena Gupta, Kher and Bedi.
The play is already a hit in India and now is winning hearts of the US audience. The team of "Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha" performed in Houston, Texas, on 7 August, which impressed not only the crowd but also Houston Mayor Annise Parker.
Parker in a proclamation highly praised Kher for his "commitment for providing quality entertainment to the community" and thus declared 7 August as Anupam Kher Day.
Kher tweeted a photo of the proclamation and said he felt honoured.
