The "Udta Punjab" row isn't showing any signs of stopping. The air around the controversy is serious, but "Housefull 3" stars Akshay Kumar and Chunky Pandey have successfully lightened it with their hilarious take on it.

When asked what they felt about the issue, Akshay told IANS that Chunky will be in a better position to comment because he was launched into the film industry by censor board chief Pahlaj Nihalani. Chunky said Pahlaj is his godfather adding that he is extremely proud of him.

Meanwhile, this is what Akshay had to say: "As far as 'Udta Punjab' is concerned, I haven't seen the film but 'udte toh tote hain, Punjab kaha se udta hai' (It's the parrots that fly, not Punjab). But I don't know; I can't tell anything about him (Pahlaj)."

There's been a murmur about the Shahid Kapoor-starrer arriving at a later date than what is scheduled (June 17). Akshay said he has no idea when the film is out and said in a jest that if it gets delayed, "Housefull 3" will benefit from it. "Really I have done a 'setting' with Pahlaj ji to delay the film," Chunky added.

Bollywood's A-listers have voiced their opinion about the row and it's all in favour of "Udta Punjab." Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Kapoor are some of the actors who are of the opinion that it is unfair to curb creativity.

Directed by Abhishek Choubey, the crime-drama also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles.
