After doing serious movies, Akshay Kumar is back on the silver screen in a comic avatar in the third instalment of the Housefull franchise – "Housefull 3." The film has also created a buzz in the industry, which makes it one of the most popular movies among exhibitors and distributors.
"Housefull 3" is in demand and thus, the screen count of the film is also high. Akshay, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez and Lisa Haydon starrer "Housefull 3" will be released in more than 3,500 screens. The 3,500 screens release is the widest this year and only two movies have been allotted the screen count. Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan" was released in 3,500 screens in April and now it's Akshay's movie.
The "Housefull" franchise is one of the most successful franchises. The first two instalments became blockbuster hits at the box office, making the third instalment one the most awaited films of the year. The film is already a hit among distributors.
"For a non-holiday Friday, the film is expected to cash in on a figure between 15 to 16 cr on day one which is fantastic. It's riding on immense buzz and is surely going to be an ideal summer holiday special for students who are right now in the midst of their school vacation. Add to all these things the fact it's one of the biggest comedy franchises it's going to be a winner at the ticket window," a press release quoted trade analyst Amul Mohan as saying.
