"Housefull 3," the Hindi film co-produced and distributed by Eros International Media, is having a successful run at the box office. This, in turn, has lifted the share price of Eros over the past few trading sessions.

The Eros stock, which closed at Rs. 198 on the BSE last Friday — the day the Akshay Kumar-starrer released — had rallied to Rs. 211.50 on Wednesday, a gain of almost 7 percent. It was trading at Rs. 206.40 at around 2:10 p.m. on the BSE.

"Housefull 3" had collected about Rs. 100 crore in its opening weekend, including Rs. 73 crore in India, according to a regulatory filing by Eros to the BSE on Monday.

The film, which also features Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon, had maintained its good run even during the week beginning Monday.

Its two-day (Monday and Tuesday) India box office collection stood at Rs. 15 crore, according to trade anayst Taran Adarsh.

Eros will be distributing another Hindi film, "Dishoom," starring John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. It is slated to be released on July 29.

Eros had said in January this year it would be releasing 65 films this year in six languages, including  R. Balki's "Ki & Ka" starring Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, "Aligarh" and "Do Lafzon ki Kahani," besides "Dishoom."

Eros earned a consolidated net profit of Rs. 214 crore on sales of Rs. 1,583 crore for the year 2015-16, marking a decrease of 13 percent in profit and an increase of 11 percent in sales over the previous financial year.
