It looks like finally the launch date of the Honda's upcoming 160cc motorcycle CB Hornet 160R has been confirmed. Reports suggest that the launch will take place in early December.

It was reported earlier that the dealers of Honda had already started accepting the bookings for the new CB Hornet with a down payment of Rs 5,000. Now the Indian Autos Blog, citing sources close to the development, states that Honda will pull the wraps off its new CB Hornet in India on 10 December.

Honda CB Hornet, a 160cc motorcycle unveiled at Honda RevFest in August, takes design cues from the CX-01 concept that debuted at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, and will feature a muscular fuel tank, a digital meter, an X-shaped LED tail-lamp and a wire Rear Tyre.

Likely to replace the Honda CB Trigger, CB Hornet is speculated to come in two variants- with disc brakes on both wheels with CBS (Combi-Brake System) and the second one with disc brakes on both wheels without CBS.

The power will come from a 162.71cc single-cylinder engine that can churn out 14.5Bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 14.61Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. CB Unicorn has the same engine.

Honda CB Hornet 160R will rival Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Yamaha FZ in India.
