Holi is considered as one of the most awaited Hindu festivals of the year when people push aside their differences and celebrate it in unity with great joy.

The festival of colours also has an important place in Bollywood. Either the entire plot of movies is based on Holi or the songs are picturised during the occasion. 1. Darr

The Holi scene from "Darr" sent chills down the spines of viewers. The obessessed lover, Shahrukh Khan, sneaks into Juhi Chawla's house during Holi and confesses his love for her. Sunny Deol, who plays Juhi's fiance, chases Shahrukh but fails to catch him.

2. Sholay

The Holi clebration by the Ramgarh people in "Sholay" is ruined by Gabbar and his associates. They come riding on their horses and bomb down houses. Jay and Veeru, played by Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, strive to save Ramgarh from Gabbar and defeat the villains to the last.

3. Damini

Damini, played by Meekanshi Sheshadri, struggles to provide legal justice to the girl, who is raped by Damini's brother-in-law and his friends during Holi. The entire plot of the movie was based on this scene.

4. Silsila

The film's script was inspired by the alleged love affair between Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. Amitabh and Rekha's confession of their love for each other after the famous song "Rang Barse" was interesting to watch.

In the scene, a friend of Dilip Kumar tries to throw colour at him and the adamant actor does not allow him to do so. Then Raj Kumar enters the scene and splashes colour on him saying only he has the right to throw colour on Dilip.
