Hina Khan not a part of Colors' Chandrakanta?

Fans who are waiting to see Hina Khan aka Akshara of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai back on the screen will have to wait for some time more. There were reports that after quitting Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Khan would return with another show Chandrakanta.

However, turns out that Khan has not accepted the offer. Colors had reportedly approached Khan and offered her a whopping amount, but she rejected it.

"Hina has rejected the offer and won't be a part of Chandrakanta. Instead, the makers are now scouting another A-list TV star for the big budget project that will go on floors soon," DNA quoted a source as saying.

Khan, who was the face of Star Plus' longest running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata, Khan made an exit from the drama series in November. After she left the show, the Television Rating Points (TRPs) dropped and since then there have been reports that the makers are thinking of bringing her back on the show and met her recently, but she hasn't agreed to be a part of the show.

"The television industry is such that things happen overnight and any news might come out. It completely depends upon the audience's interest. Now if I go back and ask everyone to see Yeh Rishta just because I have come back, they might not, if they have no interest anymore. But you know, I will feel bad if Yeh Rishta goes off the air," she said in an interview with India-Forums.

Khan left the show after the storyline moved on the younger generations. The current track focuses on Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik's (Mohsin Khan) love story.
