"Heroes Reborn" will be premiered on Thursday, 24 October, on NBC and with it the long-lost-yet-not-forgotten world of "Heroes" will be brought back to our lives.

The premiere of the series will be a two-hour special, with the release of not just episode 1 "Awakening", but also episode 2 "Odessa". However, before you get there, you need to have an idea of what our heroes are facing when they return.

As the promos and trailers already revealed, the heroes, now known as Evos, are no longer safe. They are being hunted down and killed by vigilantes, who think the world is better off without the humans with extraordinary abilities. The said vigilantes, Luke (Zachary Levi) and Joanne (Judith Shekoni), are the main adversaries to the heroes in the series till unforeseen future, and we have compiled everything you need to know about them.

Back in June, Levi had told TV Junkies: "He's (Luke) doing things for a reason, a reason that he's convinced is the right thing to do, at least for the time being or whatever". Although it seemed cryptic at the time, it has now come to our knowledge that Levi's character Luke Collins is avenging the death of his child, along with his wife Joanne Collins.

As fans already know, the show takes place a year after the terrorist attacks in Texas, which is blamed on those with extraordinary abilities. So, it is safe to assume that Luke and Joanna's child was killed in the attacks, and now they believe the only way to make things right, is to rid the world of Evos.

However, it is also possible that Luke changes his mind in the future, because Levi hinted at this saying: "But it's a journey and I think all the characters in this show, they all start in one spot and they all end in another. It's really big and a lot of things are going on. These things affect each of the characters. That definitely happens to my character as well." This means that later on in the series, we could see Levi's character becoming an ally of the Heroes.

Regardless, he is the wild card among the characters of "Heroes Reborn", and we can look at him to keep us on our toes. "I'm a big fan of surprising people. And scaring people! But surprising people... He's complicated. But I think the complication is what makes it really intriguing. It was the most intriguing thing to me about the character," added Levi.
