Hero MotoCorp will announce the launch of its much-awaited Splendor iSmart 110 motorcycle in India on Thursday, July 14. The preview of the Splendor iSmart 110, the first bike fully developed in-house by the company, was held at the Auto Expo 2016 in February.
The Splendor iSmart 110 has already started arriving at the dealerships of the company, and bookings are likely to open from the day of the launch. Hero Splendor iSmart 110 will come powered by an air-cooled single cylinder 4-stroke 110cc engine, which can churn out 8.9bhp at 7,500rpm and 9Nm at 5,500rpm, and comes mated to a four-speed gear box.
The motorcycle will come with i3S technology, which will help the bike deliver good fuel efficiency. The Hero i3S technology in iSmart bikes keeps the engine off when idling. Hero claims it would deliver nine percent more power and six percent more mileage than the existing version.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110 will be launched in both monotone and dual-tone colours. Expected to be priced at Rs. 51,500, the Splendor iSmart 110 will take on the likes of TVS Victor 110, Yamaha Saluto RX and Honda Livo.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110 will feature five-spoke black alloy wheels, split rear body grab rails and digital-analog instrument cluster. It will employ 130mm drum brake up front and a 110mm at the rear.
