Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra has finally spoken about the rumours of split with her husband Raj Kundra. The diva rubbished the reports and said that her relatives from abroad had called up as they were worried after learning about the divorce rumours.

"Many of my relatives from London, UK, called up, and they were really worried about these rumours. They were going through all the news channels back home," the Hindustan Times quoted Shilpa as saying. She also said that she didn't clarify the issue like her husband did on Twitter because it is her personal space.

Raj Kundra earlier tweeted about the split rumours and denied the reports. "like seriously?? I better spend more time at home... whoops 1.30 am returning HOME from office [sic]," he tweeted. Rumours had suggested that Raj shifted to his office with his bed and baggage, and his absence at his house "Kinara" gave rise to many speculations.

Shilpa told the daily that the media should verify facts before putting such articles as these reports are "serious matter." "There has to be a line drawn somewhere. If journalists hit us below the belt, it hurts, because we are only humans. Whoever put out that article should have at least cross-checked. It's unfair to us," Shilpa told HT.

In February 2009, Shilpa began dating Raj, with whom she was the co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team Rajsthan Royals. The duo then got married and became proud parents of a son,  named Viaan, in 2012.

The year 2016 had many divorces and break ups in the entertainment industry, thus the split rumours of Shilpa-Raj came as a shock to everyone. But, fortunately, all is well between the happy couple.

Shilpa had been a popular face in films as well as in television industry. She featured as a celebrity host for the reality show "Bigg Boss 2" and also judged "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" (Season 1) and "Nach Baliye" (seasons 5 and 6).
