For months, Salman Khan was believed to have been approached for Race 3. Turns out, the news is just another rumour. Director duo Abbas-Mustan told the media that he hasn't been offered a role in the third instalment yet.

"We have not narrated any idea to Salman. We are yet to take a call on Race 3. Next year we will decide about the casting and other details of the film," they further added. The action-thriller film is at a stage where nothing can be said for sure. The writers are apparently fine-tuning the script and the characters are yet to be decided upon.

Interestingly, the filmmakers aren't writing off the idea of roping in Khan for playing a negative role in the film. They said they would love to work with the superstar, but it is too early to speculate.

This account contradicts reports from a few weeks ago, which said that Khan has approved the story and is ready to begin the project. The makers have been ensuring that the details from these preliminary discussions are not leaked for people to talk about.

Apparently, Yami Gautam is being considered for a lead role in Race 3. "The producers have already been in talks with Yami and they are keen on having her on board. They are waiting for Yami's confirmation now," a source informed SpotboyE.

In other news, Khan has wrapped up Kabir Khan's Tubelight and is now hosting Bigg Boss 10. He appears on the show over the weekend. His job is not just to give the inmates an idea of how they have been performing, but also to straighten the ones who have gone wrong in the week gone by.

Tiger Zinda Hai with Katrina Kaif is a film Khan will take up after BB10 comes to a close early next year.
