Irrfan Khan has come up with a unique promotional idea to promote his film "Madaari." The actor has advised the makers placing interactive standees with damru's in multiplexes.

People will need to hit the damru and write issue's affecting the society on the standees. The idea behind the concept is to make a noise about the idea's affecting the society and to wake up the nation and take responsibility for the situation. Damrus have a very special significance in the film and this indeed is a unique way to convey that.

Recently, at the song launch of "Dama Dam" from "Madaari," Irrfan was completely in character. He entered the venue with a damruin his hand and announced, "Hum apnakaamkarenge, apnadharmnibhaayenge, dugdugibajaayenge...koi jaage najaage...dam damaadam dam damaadam..." With the spotlight on him, the actor made a call, asking the nation to wake-up from its state of unawareness.

"Madaari" is a serious drama directed by Nishikanth Kamat. The trailer of the film has received a positive response and has resonated with the audiences. Even the songs of the film have garnered a positive response.

The movie is slated to release on July 22.
