Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri was slowly returning to the limelight post her alleged split with Uday Chopra, but the latest reports suggest that the "Housefull 3" actress has packed her bags and left India forever.

In May, there were reports that Nargis had left the Indian film industry after boyfriend Uday refused to marry her. Her spokesperson denied all the reports, but her absence during the promotions of "Azhar" and "Housefull 3" added fuel to fire.

"Nargis has been extremely overworked working on three films simultaneously over the past year. For someone who is used to doing one film at a time, this was quite a bit for Nargis. In addition, she has been unwell right through the 'Azhar' promotions with multiple injuries — torn hamstring, anterior knee ligament thinning and mild socket dislocation along with burning of the stomach lining due to lead and arsenic poisoning," her spokesperson told IANS.

After a small gap, she returned to the spotlight, but now Filmfare reports that Nargis has left India and is unlikely to come back to the country. The entertainment portal quoting sources also reported that she is unlikely to work in Bollywood again. Nargis has gone back to the U.S. to be with her family and friends.

Nargis Fakhri's Bollywood career

Model-turned-actress Nargis made her acting debut in 2011 opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali's directorial film "Rockstar." She worked with John Abraham in "Madras Café" and received critical acclaim for her role as a journalist.

Nargis worked in 2014's successful comedy-drama "Main Tera Hero" and that same year, she appeared in a special song opposite Salman Khan in the movie "Kick." This year, she appeared in one of the biggest grossers "Housefull 3," starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Lisa Haydon. She also worked in "Azhar" movie and will be seen in "Dishoom." Nargis' next Bollywood project in a full-fledged role will be "Banjo" opposite Riteish.
