Reports of a bomb at the Ambala Cantonment Railway Station in Haryana prompted security officials to launch a search operation early on Wednesday.

Authorities received a call about a bomb placed in the parking area of the railway station, ANI reported.

However, officials have said that no suspicious object has been found so far.

The call was later traced to the son of a railway employee, who was arrested for making a hoax call, according to The Times of India.

The bomb scare comes just weeks after at least eight bombs were found on railway tracks in Haryana's Kurukshetra last month.

According to reports,  explosives used in rocket launchers were found on railway tracks near the Shahabad Markanda Railway Station in Haryana.
