The Diwali blockbuster "Happy New Year" ("HNY"), which crossed over ₹100 crore in its first weekend, launched a Punjabi pop track "Sharabi" on Tuesday. The "HNY" team was seen on a kissing spree and dancing during the video launch.

Apart from the fun, the song landed the team into trouble as they received a legal notice for its copyright.

The song, which was directed by the Vishal-Shekhar duo, was sung by Manj Musik and Nindy Kaur.

Apparently the lead singer, Manj, a former member of Punjabi rap band RDB, composed the song with his brother, when he was a part of that company under the record label, Three Records.

The singer, reportedly, sold the song to Vishal-Shekhar with fake documents and now Three Records has sent Red Chillies Entertainment a legal notice. The notice states to either to take down the song or rectify the credits.

Since then the exclusive original video has been taken out and if one clicks to watch it, it says "This video is no longer available due to copyright claim by Three Records Ltd."

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Farah Khan, Vivaan Shah and the music team were present at the event. Interestingly, from the actors to the director, everybody kissed each other and enjoyed each other's company.

However, one of their team mates, Abhishek Bachchan missed the song video launch unfortunately. Later on, the stars started dancing for the music track of "Sharabi."

It is not sure whether the cast was aware about the removal of their latest Punjabi track as they posted the video on their social media accounts. And it is yet to be clarified whether they have rectified the credits.

The film has truly maintained the buzz since its release. This song appears at the end of the film and features SRK's youngest son, AbRam Khan, for the first time on silver screen.
