"Manwa laage" song from Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" has gone viral. The first song of the film "Indianwaale" received more of negative comments, but the second romantic number from the film seems to have balanced it out.

"Manwa laage" was released on 9 September and has gone viral since. The song is sung by top singers of the time - Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal – and composed by music director duo Vishal-Shekhar.

The romantic number, which is slowly gaining momentum on the chartbuster list, has crossed one million hits in less than 24 hours. The song had recorded 1,649,691 hits and 15,968 likes on YouTube till Thurday morning. 

The music director duo in their joint statement described the song as a "gentle breath of peace and love.

"Creating this song was a beautiful experience as working with Farah Khan always is. Shah Rukh and Deepika have gone beyond our expectations in their performance," the duo said.

The duo, who is on cloud nine with the success of the music of Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer "Bang Bang", thanked their fans for making "Manwa laage" a hit.

One expects songs of "Happy New Year" to be full of dance sequences as it is directed by choreographer turned director Farah Khan, but "Manwa laage" shows more of romance between the Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone.
