Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" (HNY) has minted $15 million at the overseas box office. The film has surpassed the final overseas collections of SRK's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and Hrithik Roshan's "Bang Bang," which had minted $13.5 million and $13.1 million, respectively.

"HNY" has taken fifth spot in the list of highest grossing bollywood films at the overseas box office, according to Koimoi. It is SRK's sixth film in the list and the other five films include "Chennai Express," "Jab Tak Hai Jaan," "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" ("KANK"), "Don 2" and "My Name is Khan."

While "HNY" has surpassed the total collections of "Don 2" and "KANK," the film is yet to beat "Chennai Express" and "My Name is Khan." "Chennai Express," which had minted $19.3 million, is in fourth spot, while "My Name is Khan" is at the third position with $23 million in the list of top grossers.

Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" and "3 Idiots" still manage to hold on to the top two spots despite several films having hit the screens. It is unlikely for "HNY" to surpass the collections of "My Name is Khan," "3 Idiots" and "Dhoom 3" as all three films have raked in over $20 million at the overseas box office.

The heist drama film, which is in its fourth week, has witnessed significant decline in its collections. The SRK- starrer is expected to end its business by the end of the fourth weekend. If it had to surpass the collections of "My Name is Khan," "Dhoom 3" and "3 Idiots," then more than $5 million had to be made at the overseas box office.

With "HNY" witnessing drops in its figures, the film will not be able to beat the collections of the top three highest-grossing films.

Check below the list of top ten highest-grossing bollywood films in overseas markets (figures from Koimoi).
