Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone's starrer "Happy New Year" (HNY) had a solid second weekend at the box office, and the film is now set to cross the ₹200 crore mark in India.

"Happy New Year" continued its winning run at the box office in its second week as new releases met with poor reaction

The musical heist drama, which was released in 5,000 screens, minted approximately ₹23 crore in its second weekend, according to Koimoi.com. The second weekend total is the second highest collection recorded this year after Salman Khan's "Kick" (₹34.02 crore).

However, controversial actor-producer Kamaal R Khan (KRK), who started his own website, said that the film minted around ₹20.10 crore.

The second weekend breakup of the film according to KRK is: Friday ₹5.40 crore, Saturday ₹5.60 crore and Sunday ₹9.10 crore.

"Happy New Year" second Friday collection was low, but it picked up again on Saturday and Sunday, which helped it put a strong second weekend total. The 10 days net earnings of the film stands at ₹180.5 crore.

Farah Khan's directorial film "HNY" is racing towards the ₹200 crore mark in India with net box office income. If "HNY" crosses ₹200 crore mark, then it will be Shah Rukh's second movie to enter the double century group after "Chennai Express".

The double century club has five movies in the list and it has been dominated by Aamir Khan with two films "Dhoom 3" and "3 Idiots", followed by Hrithik's "Krrish 3", Salman's "Kick" and SRK's "Chennai Express".

Meanwhile, speaking on "Happy New Year" box office success, Red Chillies Entertainment CEO Venky Mysore had previously said, "Happy New Year has set another new benchmark. We are grateful for the ongoing love and support of audience."

The musical heist drama also Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in key roles, with several prominent Bollywood celebrities in guest appearance.

The film also features Shah Rukh's youngest son AbRam Khan and Farah's triplets.
