A Christian festival, Halloween, which is dedicated to remember the martyrs, saints and the departed, has now become a fun carnivalesque event across the world. It is celebrated in many countries with parties and costumes. People take to the streets, dressed up spookily, to display their costumes and enjoy the festival season. Halloween also gives people a chance to hide behind their costumes and just let their hair down for a night.

Halloween falls on the last day of October every year and is also celebrated at the White House. Michelle and Barack Obama celebrated their last Halloween at the White House this year, by treating young children, who came dressed up and looking adorable.

Apart from the US, the festival was also celebrated in other countries with Christian majorities with as much gusto.
