Eid marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and food is a major part of Eid al-Fitr festivities. Over the years, several places across the nation have gained the distinction of being the most sought-after destinations during Eid, mostly due to the mouth-watering delicacies offered there.

Here we are listing out a few places that have carved a name for offering the best dishes during Eid al-Fitr.

Delhi: The Jama Masjid area has a lot of joints that serve a wide variety of Mughlai delicacies. Al Jawahar and Karim's are two of the most popular restaurants here. The Nizamuddin area is another must-visit during this festive season.

Lucknow: Lucknow is famous for its Galouti kebabs that will melt in your mouth. The Chowk area is famous for a number of joints where one can indulge in both sweet and savoury dishes, which include biriyani and kebabs to a wide variety of lassis and Makhan Malai.

Hyderabad: Haleem is a must-have during Eid in Hyderabad. This dish is a combination of meat, pulses and dates and the best place to try it is the Mallepally Badi Masjid area. The old city of Hyderabad, specially the Charminar area is another ideal place to try Haleem. Of course, no Eid celebration is considered complete without tasting the Hyderabadi biryani, and the city has a number of outlets that serve the rice-chicken, rice-mutton dish.

Bengaluru: Special stalls have opened up in Bannerghatta Road, Johnson Market, Shivajinagar and Tilak Nagar to cater scrumptious food during Eid festivities. It wouldn't be difficult to stay away from these places, thanks to the aroma of meat and charcoal that fill the air.
